That doesn't simply mean staying on top of your fantasy football team, or memorizing the stats of the Boston Red Sox players. Pay attention to what is happening off the field. Issues the media have covered the last several years include dark money in college sports, international competition (LIV golf, anyone?), massive media rights contracts, domestic violence, sexual assault, athletes' health-related issues, labor disputes, tax-payer subsidized stadia/arenas and more. |
