Colin McEnroe is a long-time Connecticut journalist who writes a column for Hearst CT Newspapers. He also has a daily show on WNPR. Usually his stuff is about local politics, Connecticut nostalgia. He's a great writer, an odd radio host. He also writes a newsletter for Hearst CT, gets lots of subscribers, I am told. I am not one of them. But, my wife Lindsay forwarded me this today. I opened it and, within minutes, I had tears in my eyes and had no idea when they got there or why they were there. Greek mythology, baseball mystique and family wrapped into one piece. This is the best thing I've read this week.
