In late February, I went The Paley Center for Media in Manhattan for a panel hosted by Montclair State University's School of Communications and Media. They advertised the panel as a sort of "The Future of Sports Journalism" deal. What panelists delivered, though, was a look into the future of sports media, which didn't include a lot of journalism. Here is a link to my article on the event, which was published on MediaShift.org. Photo by Lindsay Boyle The panel, hosted by MSU professor and former veteran USA Today reporter Kelly Whiteside, included Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins, New York Times legend Harvey Araton, senior vice president Felix Alvarez Gamon of IMG Media, and Big East commissioner Val Ackerman.
